I am always working on my gear to be as ultralight as possible while still being safe and comfortable. There are some who have their base pack weight at 5 lbs, which is awesome but doesn't allow for some of the comforts I like. I currently have a base pack weight of somewhere around 17.5 lbs. Base pack weight refers to your gear before adding consumable items such as food and water. Below is a listing of my backpacking gear, I do not always carry all of these items.

Note: This list is being worked on. I am taking pictures of all my gear and putting actual weights on this site. This is an involved process so check back in!

Click here to download a check-list for backpack contents. Reminder I don't carry ALL of these items all of the time, that would result in a massive pack!

Gear Grams: Great tool for see really what is making up your pack weight and adjusting it.
